Walk Away From Coal - 9/24: A Day to Move Beyond Fossil Fuels

As part of Moving Planet, an international day of climate action, join us in a protest against  the Portland Generating Station. This coal plant, which sits on the Delaware River, is one of the oldest and dirties coal plants in the county. Haven’t heard of it? Check out this video to see the problems is causing in Pennsylvania and New Jersey

Saturday September 24th is an international day to move beyond fossil fuels. Clean Air Council is teaming up with local residents, Greenpeace, The Sierra Club, Delaware River Keeper, Clean Water Action and more to “Walk Away From Coal."

Join us at 11a.m. at the Portland-Columbia Pedestrian Bridge  for a short, symbolic walk, sing-a-long and rally at the Portland Plant to tell GenOn to walk away from coal. To RSVP and for more information and directions visit the event website. Or email Katie Feeney: kfeeney @ cleanair.org
