SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES


November 6, 2003

I. Gold
A. Status given only to a select group of fleets, who have demonstrated
outstanding clean diesel technology initiatives that we wish other fleets to replicate.
B. Recognizes the implementation of EPA-verified technologies AND clean
diesel fuels on X ratio/percentage of a fleet.
C. Recognition includes the scheduling of a press conference where a plaque
will be presented, compilation of a press release, a clean diesel decal, and the publication of a success story.
D. Clean diesel technology applications that target at risk populations, such
as children and environmental justice communities, are weighed heavier in the determination of gold level status.

II. Silver
A. Recognizes the implementation of EPA-verified technologies AND/OR clean diesel fuels on Y ratio/percentage of a fleet.
B. Recognition includes the compilation of press release, a clean diesel decal, and the publication of a success story.

III. Bronze
A. Recognizes clean diesel behavior, which can include the implementation
of anti-idling policies and devices, non-EPA verified technologies, and/or EPA-verified technologies for Z ratio/percentage of a fleet.
B. Recognition includes the compilation of a success story, which will be
published on the Diesel Difference website.
