About dvTUG
The Delaware Valley Transit Users Group (dvTUG) was founded late June of 1998 with two fundamental convictions:
- Public transportation is an essential municipal service
- Public transportation planners and providers must respond to the needs of Transit Users
To be effective, we must build a strong, broad-based membership in the Philadelphia region, including New Jersey and Delaware. Only as a group can we take action and achieve results.
If public transportation is important to you or your community, dvTUG wants to hear from you. You can join our group now by filling out a printed version of the membership form below.
dvTUG Vision
A future in which the people of Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley enjoy:
- a transit system that is efficient, attractive, safe, accessible, and affordable; and
- a service that is fully supported as essential to the human and economic needs of a viable, environmentally sustainable region.
dvTUG Mission
To act with and on behalf of users of public transportation
- identify actions to achieve immediate and long-term improvements in the quality of service
- promote and support programs, projects, and other initiatives to attain the goals of transit users.
