Clean Air Council
is working with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation
Authority (SEPTA) to promote their new Bike Racks on Buses
Program. As more and more buses are installed with bike
racks, the Council will be working closely with SEPTA to
develop a series of educational materials to assist Philadelphia-area
residents in participating in the Bike Racks on Buses Program.
SEPTA has a goal of installing bike
racks on all buses by 2006! As of summer 2005, close
to 90% of all city bus routes and close to 100% of all suburban
bus routes have been equipped with racks. For an updated
list of bus routes equipped with bike racks, visit www.septa.org.
