The aim of the Energy Team at Clean Air Council is to identify and alleviate pollution resulting from energy production and consumption. The Energy Team works on a number of programs aimed at consumers, electricity generators and suppliers, and state and federal regulators. The Council works through educational programs, policy work, and legal advocacy.

Power Scorecard™
The Power Scorecard™ assesses the environmental impacts of all sources of electricity and provides consumers with easy to understand ratings of each product that allows them to compare and choose among competing electricity suppliers. The overall goal of Power Scorecard™ is to give consumers the information they need so they can make an informed choice about power supplies based on their environmental values.

The Wind Campaign
With over 258 MW of new wind power installed in Pennsylvania, the Council is encouraging businesses and residents to take advantage of this new opportunity. Wind energy is not only available to Pennsylvania and New Jersey residents, it is cost competitive, and one of the cleanest sources of electricity.
