Boston May Ban Smoking In All Workplaces
Smoking in all Boston workplaces, including bars and restaurants, may be banned under a proposal announced recently by Mayor Thomas Menino. No worker should be forced to breathe secondhand smoke, he said. The regulations would effectively ban smoking everywhere in the city except outdoors and in private homes or hotel rooms.
