"The Clean Power Act of 2003" is a bipartisan bill
that would significantly reduce the air pollution that causes
smog, respiratory disease, mercury poisoning, global warming
and acid rain. If passed, this legislation would be a major
boost for public health, the environment and the economy in
your community.
Please write to Senator Arlen Specter, letting him know
you support the Clean Power Act. Senator Specter's vote
is key to passing this important bill, but he has not yet
decided whether or not to vote for it-your letter could
make a real difference!

1.) Tell the Senator that you are in favor of the Clean
Power Act.
2.) Explain, in your own words, why you support it.
* It will protect your family's health
* It will begin to address the problem of global warming
* It will help reduce smog pollution
3.) Ask him to vote "yes" on the Clean Power Act
and tell him that you want to know his position.
