5K Run for Clean Air & Earth Day Celebration

Event Schedule:
7:30am Registration Tent opens
8:15am Pre-Run stretch with Dhyana Yoga
9:00am START
9:30am Earth Day Celebration begins
10:00am Awards Ceremony with Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter!
12:00pm Post-Run Circus at World Cafe Live

PRE-RUN Packet Pick-Up
All pre-registered runners are encouraged to beat the rush on Run day and pick up their Run bags, organic t-shirts, chips and bib numbers ahead of time. Philadelphia Runner at 16th & Sansom in Center City Philadelphia will once again host the pick-up. The schedule:

TEAMS: Thursday, April 17 from 10am to 6pm
All materials will be boxed together by team name. One pick-up per team- no separations allowed.

INDIVIDUALS: Friday, April 18 from 10am to 6pm

All pre-registered runners who cannot make the pick-up are welcome to pick up their packet on the morning of the Run at the Pre-Registration Tent at 7:30am.

Where: Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive (Formerly West River Drive), with the start/finish line across from the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Circus


After the 5K Run, we invite you to attend the Blue Sky Circus, at World Cafe Live from 12 PM to 3PM. This festival with live entertainment will support wind power. Click here to learn more about sponsoring or attending the event.



Recycle your old running shoes at the Run!
  Reuse-A-Shoe is one of Nike's longest-running environmental and community programs.  Thank you to Rittenhouse Sports Specialties for promoting this program and sending the shoes back for recycling!

"This event is being chipped time by Lin-Mark Sports -- all entrants will receive a timng chip/band in their race envelope to be worn on the ankle -- the chip and band must be returned at the finish line or mailed back in the provided envelope should you not race.  A lost chip fee of $30 will be billed to all persons who do not return their chip.  Details about the timing system and scoring rules (Gun time vs Chip Time) can be found at"
