Reporting Construction Sites Blocking the Sidewalk:
Call the Streets Department's main office and the Licenses and Inspections district office listed below, and ask for an inspector to visit the site to check their permit, to see if they have a right-of-way without providing alternative passage. Provide them with the following information:
- The nearest intersection
- The work location (if not a corner), and
- The name of the contractor, if possible (look for their sign on the construction fence or a vehicle)
